Del Suggs, M.S. Ed., is one of the most widely-respected presenters in the college market. In fact, "Campus Activities" magazine has named Del one of the Five Top Artists of the past twenty-five years!  The school members of the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities voted Del as "Best Campus Speaker", and the "Campus Activities" magazine  "Readers' Poll" has voted him a finalist for "Speaker of the Year"   And, according to the Artist Report Cards submitted by campuses to "Campus Activities" magazine, Del is the Highest Rated Speaker in the field.

Del has presented his programs in Leadership Development and Student Activities Training at campuses from Seattle to Ft. Lauderdale, from Hartford to Laredo, and most points in between. 

Del received his Master's degree in Instructional Design and Development from Florida State University, and studied with Dr. Robert Gagne and Dr. Leslie Briggs, two of the most widely respected scholars in educational psychology and peers of Dr. B. F. Skinner. He received a Bachelor's degree cum laude in History and Political Science from FSU.

A lifelong volunteer, Del currently serving as Chairman of Florida's Big Bend Scenic Byway, named by USA Today as the most scenic drive in Florida.  He is past president of the Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science, ranked one of the top ten museums in Florida. He received the "Museum Service Award for Outstanding Trustee" from the Florida Association of Museums. He has served two terms on the board of directors of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), the Florida Flambeau Foundation, Inc., and the Musicians Association of Tallahassee. He's even been named "Volunteer of the Year" by WFSU-FM, the NPR affiliate in his home town. Del is also a Voting Member of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The Grammy Awards).

Del has the perfect combination of skills and experience for Leadership Development:  He has spent much of his career as an entertainer;  he has the academic credentials of a professor; and he has a lifetime of experience as a leader of national, regional, and local organizations. After publishing nearly 80 journal articles, his new book Truly Leading:  Lessons in Leadership has reaffirmed his position as one the most widely-read authors in the field.  Del Suggs is the speaker you have been seeking to teach your students how to lead themselves and their organizations.
